Wardruna X Thorn & Claw Collection

Wardruna X Thorn & Claw Collection

The Wardruna X Thorn & Claw Collection felt like a natural meeting of shared ideas and inspirations. Our mutual appreciation for nature and craftmanship shaped this jewellery collection, designed to reflect the beauty and strength found in the wild. These pieces are a tribute to the landscapes and stories that connect us.

About Wardruna

Wardruna is a Norwegian music group known for its deep connection to the natural world. Their music weaves together ancient instruments, vocals, and mythology to create a sound that is both evocative and enduring. It resonates with the beauty and mystery of untamed landscapes and the wisdom of the past. They are keepers of ancient wisdom and storytellers through sound.

Since the beginning of Thorn & Claw, Wardruna’s music and values have been a source of inspiration. Their ability to honour the wild through sound resonates deeply with my own work: crafting jewellery that celebrates the raw, enduring beauty of nature. This collaboration feels like the culmination of paths that were always meant to cross.

The Vision Behind the Collaboration

The first time I saw Wardruna perform live in London, their music struck something deep within me. It felt like a grounding force, a reminder of our place within the wilds. That feeling has lingered, shaping many of my designs over the years. When Wardruna approached me to collaborate, it felt like a natural alignment.

Together, we envisioned pieces that would reflect the essence of their music and the quiet power of the natural world. These designs are not just jewellery, they are talismans, designed to hold meaning and connection.

Inspired by Untamed Landscapes

This collection draws heavily on the symbolism of nature. Each piece is crafted directly from organic forms, creating a tangible link to the wild.

Crafting the Collection

Each piece in this collection begins with the natural world. The oak leaves were preserved in liquid silver clay, capturing every delicate vein, while the acorn was lifecast from its original form. These materials were chosen not only for their beauty but for the stories they tell of endurance, growth, and connection to the earth.

Working directly with nature is at the heart of what I do. It’s an act of reverence, a way to honour the materials and the landscapes they come from. This process reflects the shared respect for the wild that both Thorn & Claw and Wardruna hold close.

A Shared Reverence

This collaboration is about more than jewellery. It’s a celebration of what endures, the landscapes that hold ancient stories, the quiet wisdom of nature, and the strength that comes from recognising our place within it. These talismans are reminders of resilience and connection, offering a way to carry the wild with you every day.
